The stars shone on the red carpet Sunday as they converged upon the Kodak Theater in Los Angeles for the 81st Academy Awards ceremony. Although not every dress was a winner, the style successes far outnumbered the disasters and the excited nominees were at the most exuberant as they stopped to speak with journalists.
